No you're not missing anything - they're escaped murderers but they are not a danger to the public. Quite straighforward. Another example of that wicked DP Act flying in the face of common sense once again !

I have just read an article about two escaped murderers from Sudbury prison and Derbyshire POlice are refusing to release photographs of them as it is not in the public interest, their human rights could be breached and the Data Protection Act.  Apparently ACPO have stated that photographs should only be released in exceptional circumstances where officers believe that the suspects may be a danger to the public.
 
Am I missing something here?
