Call for papers:

Royal Geographical Society-Institute of British Geographers

RGS London August 29th-31st 2007

Postgraduate Research in Historical Geography

Sponsored by the Historical Geography Research Geography

This session aims to provide an informal and relaxed forum for postgraduates
undertaking research in historical geography to present at a major
conference. Building upon the successful HGRG postgraduate sessions at
previous conferences it is hoped that a friendly and supportive atmosphere
will produce stimulating debates on the issues raised and provide
postgraduates with helpful feedback on their work. There is no chronological
or geographical limit to papers and they can be theoretical, empirical or
methodological in orientation. Papers will be welcomed from postgraduates at
any stage of research.

Offers for papers, comprising author, address, title and abstract (of not
more than 200 words) should be submitted by e-mail or hard copy no later
than 30th January 2007 to Merle Patchett (Postgraduate Committee Member).
Presentations are expected to be around 20 minutes in duration.
