Call for papers: Royal Geographical Society-Institute of British Geographers RGS London August 29th-31st 2007 Postgraduate Research in Historical Geography Sponsored by the Historical Geography Research Geography This session aims to provide an informal and relaxed forum for postgraduates undertaking research in historical geography to present at a major conference. Building upon the successful HGRG postgraduate sessions at previous conferences it is hoped that a friendly and supportive atmosphere will produce stimulating debates on the issues raised and provide postgraduates with helpful feedback on their work. There is no chronological or geographical limit to papers and they can be theoretical, empirical or methodological in orientation. Papers will be welcomed from postgraduates at any stage of research. Offers for papers, comprising author, address, title and abstract (of not more than 200 words) should be submitted by e-mail or hard copy no later than 30th January 2007 to Merle Patchett (Postgraduate Committee Member). Presentations are expected to be around 20 minutes in duration.
