Dear colleagues

Just to let you know, in case you had not already picked it up, but Times Higher Ed Supplement has recently run several interesting articles and published a number of interesting letters on age equality issues in HE – see editions for Dec 15, Dec 22 and Jan 5 and this week’s THES, Jan 12.

The features articles in part at least derive from extensive briefings which ECU staff gave to journalists before Christmas on age issues. They make interesting reading and we think could usefully be used in both formal and informal staff development or debate on the issues raised by the age regulations. We understand that the US experience of age discrimination will be covered in future weeks.

Do pass this message on to any contacts in HR or staff development with an interest meantime.

Best wishes

Liz and Shelly
