It sounds like it would be a very useful
thing if there could be a page on the National Science Learning Centre website http://www.sciencelearningcentres.org.uk/?page=2

for schools?
Dear Alison,
Teachers might be
interested in the Science Bursaries scheme run by the Nuffield Foundation,
where first year A-level students can apply for holiday placements at
university science departments or in industry.
More information is here:

Hi Alison
The Royal Society has
done a similar thing covering some of the bigger schemes, their list of funding
sources can be found at: http://www.royalsoc.ac.uk/page.asp?id=1999

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Funding for
schools?
*Apologies for cross-posting*
Hello everyone (is it too late to be wishing a Happy
New Year?)
I'm hoping the immense PSCI-Com brains &
experience out there can help me - I am trying to compile a list of funding
sources which Schools or Teachers can apply for, to help them with paying for
science activities, whether internal or external. This could be in
partnership with scientists, for them to run science activities or for getting
to external events and so on.
Any information on funding sources you know of,
no matter how small, obscure, regional or unlikely would be most appreciated.
Many thanks in anticipation...
Alison.
