medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Hi Johan. Would this situation not be parallel to that for Franciscan hermits, for whom St Francis wrote another rule? Admittedly it is exceptionally brief, really only a paragraph, but it was called a rule and had the prestige of Francis attached to it. It did not supersede the Regula bullata.
