The pointy hood, short cape, patches, and sandals make me think your man might be a Capuchin, in which case the window would have to be later than 16th century (does that fit?). There's no halo, so perhaps he's not (yet) a saint. St Felix of Cantalice, possibly, who was a farm labourer and devotee of the Child Jesus, but he is usually depicted with the Child in his arms. -- Paul Chandler
