> Dear Colleagues,
>
> We> '> ve recently set the date for the next introductory workshop on the 1958 National Child Development Study (NCDS) and the 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS70) - Wednesday 21st February 2007. These studies have been used for a wealth of research projects on the health and health behaviours (diet, smoking, exercise, alcohol consumption etc) of cohort members and their children. Come and find out how the data included in them may be of use for your research.
> This event, which is organized jointly by the Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS) and the Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS), will be of particular interest to researchers who are considering using data from the last two sweeps of the surveys (1999/2000 and 2004). A non-refundable fee of £60 (£30 for HE students) covers a buffet lunch and workshop documentation. Please note the number of places is strictly limited to ensure that participants have their own PC for the hands-on component of the workshop and adequate support for the workshop component from members of the CLS team.
> Details of the workshop and an online booking form are available via the Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS) website:
