The Association of Third-Level Teachers of German in Ireland invites submissions for the next two issues of its Yearbook Germanistik in Ireland The 2007 issue will be devoted to the overall topic (Wahl-) Verwandtschaften - understood as any instance of affinity, attraction or synergy manifested in German literature or culture throughout the ages. The 2008 issue will assemble contributions on the general theme of Intercultural encounters in the language classroom - case studies, theoretical considerations, old and new approaches. Submissions (in German or English) are invited in electronic form to either of the editors: Hans-Walter Schmidt-Hannisa ([log in to unmask]) or Florian Krobb ([log in to unmask]). Deadline for 2007 issue: 15 February 2007. Deadline for 2008 issue: 15 February 2008. Style guidelines are available from the editors on request. We would also like to remind you that Germanistik in Ireland attempts to carry reviews of all book publications by colleagues (including part-timers and retired colleagues as well as postgraduates) working in Germanistik or German Studies on the island of Ireland. Please make the editors aware of any such publication that has appeared during the year 2006.
