Senior Library Assistant: Information Specialist
Royal Free Hospital Medical Library, UCL Library Services
University College London
£22,706 - £26,633 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. Full-time, 
funding for 18 month project.

This project role involves assisting the Knowledge Resources Librarian to 
develop and deliver Specialist Library Information Support to the NLH pilot 
Neurological Conditions Specialist Library.

In addition, you will help to develop and expand existing information 
services, especially by participating in an extensive information skills 
training programme, and will contribute to the staffing rota that supports a 
busy issue / general enquiries desk.

You will be a professionally qualified graduate librarian with demonstrable 
skills in finding, evaluating and using information, both printed and 
electronic, and experience of writing or maintaining web pages, and of 
delivering user focused customer services. Excellent IT, written and oral 
communication skills, including experience in giving presentations and in 
explaining complex information to non-specialists are essential. Experience 
of working in a health or medical environment and recent library issue desk 
experience would be an advantage.
