Visual Representations of Medieval Spirituality

About the Conference

The aim of this interdisciplinary conference, jointly hosted by Christianity and Culture and York Minster, is to explore the visual dimensions of medieval spirituality in a way which will enhance both research and teaching across a range of disciplines.

Conference sessions will be held at St William's College, home of the Minster's chantry priests in the fifteenth century. Standard accommodation will be available nearby at York St John College. The programme will include two conference dinners, one at St William's College and one in the Minster Chapter House. There will also be two evening events in the Minster, with drama and music, and an optional visit to the medieval parish church of All Saints, North St, York.
