Quick reminder that if you would like to feed your thoughts into SHCG's response to the Museums Association consultation on disposal, you have a week to get back to me.  Original message below.  Thanks.  Briony

I'm sure that you will all have received invitations to contribute to the MA's consultation on disposal through other channels.  If not, full details are on the MA's website http://www.museumsassociation.org/disposal&_IXSESSION_=INm2lqqL5DE&_IXPOS_=manews1.4

We have also been invited to respond to the consultation as a group.  I am particularly keen to do this as there are issues pertinent to social history collections that need to be articulated, as was demonstrated by the disposals session at this year's conference.  I am happy to collate any responses from members as part of SHCG's contribution.  Please get your comments to me by Wednesday 18th October if you would like them to be included. (The MA deadline for individual contributions is 31st October)
