It comprises declassified key judgments from the larger, classified National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Trends in Global Terrorism: Implications for the United States that was produced in April 2006. The NIE analyzes the nature of the threat that terrorist groups across the world will pose to American citizens. This document was provoked controversy by suggesting that the American 'war against terrorism' was stimulating greater support for Al-Qaeda, religious Jihad and terrorist attacks by Islamic militants. Internet detective. Internet Detective is a free online tutorial designed to help students develop the critical thinking required for their Internet research. It is provided as part of the Intute Virtual Training Suite. The tutorial offers practical advice on evaluating the quality of websites and highlights the need for care when selecting online information sources to inform university or college work.
