Interesting question - We have been using Moodle now for a
couple of years
I am the main administrator for our site, and we have
secondary administrators and course creators amongst our
staff
We have found that most get to grips with creating courses
and standard admin tasks within a month or so
To learn how to deal with the back end, the database
backups and restores, to tweak the PHP to make it do/look how you want, etc
can take longer
