The Geographies of Children, Youth and Families Working Group (GCYF-WG) invites proposals for sessions at next year's Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) Annual International Conference. The conference will be held in London, 28th-31st August 2007. The overall theme of the conference is 'Sustainability and Quality of Life'. The GCYF-WG is able to sponsor a number of sessions, both independently and jointly with other research groups. The session format may be any of (or a mixture of): a) Research papers b) Postgraduate student papers c) Poster sessions (informal presentations) d) Work in progress reports / proposals for future projects e) Panel discussions f) Practitioner Forums Each proposal should comprise: 1. Abstract/outline of session proposal and the topics or themes it would aim to address (optionally written in the form of a draft Call for Papers) 2. The format of the session (i.e. paper session, poster session, panel discussion, practitioner forum, etc.) Please email proposals for sessions to Larch Maxey ([log in to unmask]) by 20th October 2006 for review by the GCYF-WG committee.
