Attached please find details of the British 
Psychological Society Gay & Lesbian Section 
Conference to be held on 1st & 2nd December 2006.

1st & 2nd December 2006
Two days of presentations, workshops and 
discussions for LGBTQ psychologists, postgraduate 
students, professionals, community members and 
academics in related disciplines.

Venue: Doggett's Coat and Badge function pub, near Blackfriars Bridge, London
Dates: Friday 1st December (afternoon and 
evening), Saturday 2nd December (morning and afternoon)
Cost:   £75 waged, £50 students/unwaged 
(including buffet lunch on 2nd December)

Keynote speakers: Susan Golombok and Dominic Davies

Professor Susan Golombok works at Cambridge 
University researching the outcomes for children 
of growing up in new family forms. She has been 
involved in a number of studies of lesbian mother 
families from the mid 1970s until the present 
time. She is the author of ‘Parenting: What 
Really Counts’ (Psychology Press) and co-author 
of ‘Growing Up in a Lesbian Family’ (Guilford 
Press) amongst many other books, chapters and academic papers.

Dominic Davies is a BACP Senior Registered 
Practitioner with two decades experience of 
working with sexual minority clients. He has run 
training workshops throughout the UK, Europe and 
Australasia. He is the principal author and 
co-editor of three ‘Pink Therapy’ books on 
working with lesbian, gay, bisexual and 
transgender clients. Dominic is Principal 
Therapist of Pink Therapy Services – the largest 
private therapy service for sexual minority 
clients, based in Central London where he offers 
therapy, supervision and consultation.
