A patent implausibility, as anyone who has seen St. Alban's shrine at 
Köln can attest.  What Farmer actually says (5th ed., 2003, p. 536) is 
that W.'s "modest shrine, along with that of Edward the Confessor at 
Westminster, are the only ones to survive intact _in this country_ to 
this day" (emphasis mine).
