Working within the School of the Environment you will join an exciting multi-disciplinary project funded by the high profile Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Landscape and Environment Programme. The project is examining domestic gardens as everyday landscapes and will involve the creative use of innovative qualitative research methods to investigate the world renowned holdings of the mass observation archive at the University of Sussex. You will be able to effectively plan and manage your own research activity, write academic papers and analyse data so as to formulate conclusions.  You will have a Ph.D. in human geography, sociology, psychology, cultural studies or other relevant social science or humanities discipline and a good knowledge of research methodology. This post is fixed-term for 1 year as funding is limited to this period.
