Article 25 of the General Development Procedure Order 1995 specifies the required content of the Planning Registers.

On a quick read-through it seems to say nothing about format and as the specification refers to 'information' and 'copies' of documents lodged as opposed to originals there would seem to me to be no reason why the register cannot be electronic

Can anyone provide me with the reference to any specific piece of legislation or other statutory instrument which defines the required format for Planning and Land Charges registers held by Local Authorities in England.  I am interested in whether holding the register solely in an electronic format is now permissible.
