It’s interesting that everyone who has responded to my query so far seems to have assumed that my ‘agenda’ was the consultancy rate.  In fact, I wasn’t making a point about any of the content.  I simply want to know the source of the information, following up a careers discussion with some A-level students.  I was hoping that someone from the Society of Archivists, the Records Management Society or another professional organisation might claim ownership.

I could provide a list of potential culprits but this would be unfair.

I am surprised at the consultancy rate cited as this is less than TNA charge government agencies (and, I think, excluding VAT), which is even now lower than the rate they charged pre-2000.

That said I am aware some consultants charge around the figure given but it does not square with the upper salary levels indicated under "Further details".
