The City of Coventry’s archaeology and historic landscape is now being mapped and interpreted in an innovative, groundbreaking pilot project. A full time or job-share post is available for approximately 6 months to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of extension to a year.
A series of maps covering the whole city
is being created which present and interpret (for both academic/planning
purposes and public use) its archaeology, landscape history and historical
geography.
You will need to have a background in archaeology, historical geography,
landscape history and the ability to use MapInfo computerised mapping systems
will be a distinct advantage. A willingness to use a great variety of
historical sources and engage in original research is desirable.
Successful Candidates will be notified by telephone of Interviews.
Interview date: 7th August 2006.
