Regards, Claudio Rosenberg PhD Position at the Freie Universität Berlin We are looking for a graduate student to work on a PhD project on the Tertiary exhumation of middle- to lower crust in the Eastern Alps (Austria/Italy). The study will combine structural fieldwork in the Alps and analytical work in the laboratory, in order to date deformation and cooling using mainly Rb/Sr and Ar/Ar techniques. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in structural geology and / or geochronology. The project is funded for two years and may be extended for a third year. The dead line for the submission of applications is the 15th of August 2006.
