Yep Mogg, shamnism definitely comes under this list, but we never seem
to get many, indeed any, discussions. I just wondered if there was a
similar list to this dedicated to shamanic/shamanistic practices.

	For starters not quite sure what the difference would be between
'shamanism' and 'magick' 
	- perhaps a difference between literate and non-literate
traditions??
	In contemporary publishing 'shamanism' once functioned as a
euphemism for magick -
	ie doesn't scare the fish -
	other euphemisms 'alchemy' = 'sex'

		Hi, Does anyone know of an academic shamanism list, or
better still a list where acadermics and practitioners can exchange
ideas? The ones I've looked at seem to be fairly inactive - maybe just
estivating (if that is a proper word) like this list out of term-time -
