CALL FOR ROMANY / GYPSY / TRAVELLER ARTISTS !!!
A survey of Romany art production in England.
DEADLINE FOR CONTACTING US: 10th July 2006
If you are a Romany artist, or know anyone who is, please get in
touch, or let them know about this survey.
The survey is being carried out under the direction of Daniel Baker,
also a Romany Artist himself. The research is supported by ‘The Open
Society’.
This will be the first attempt to survey artistic production by
Romany people. All art production at all levels is covered, e.g.
painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, new media, performance,
textiles… etc
Firstly, please send us your contact details, or those of someone
you think might be suitable to:

We will then contact you to find out more about your artwork.
The information will be added to a worldwide catalogue of Romany
artists, for future reference by curators, historians, other artists
etc.
We encourage artists to become involved in the survey, as an
opportunity for all from beginners to professionals.
