Please, take in consideration that on the same day as St Gudval, was the
festival of St Gurval who, in despite of his very similat name, is a
different saint : Gudval was mainly honoured in the diocese of Vannes and Gurval
in the one of Alet (= St-Malo) ; the contact point between the two areas was the
"aletian" parish of Guer (with the church dedicated to St Gurval), close to the
boudaries of the diocese of Vannes (and not far from the parishes dedicated to
saint Gudval).
