medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Meg,

Is your friend primarily interested in perceptions of Brigid in NW
Europe or would Italian perceptions also be pertinent? Her cult in
parts of northern Italy traversed by pilgrim routes goes back at least
as far as the early Middle Ages and, because Irish were 'Scoti' in
Latin, she's been identified as a Scot by Italians reacting to hymns,
etc. calling her by that term. I could try to put my finger on some
particulars if that would help.

Best,
John Dillon
