Pinpoint Faraday CASE Studentship: Development of a Personal, Low-Cost,
Integrated Positioning System for Security Applications

A partnership between QinetiQ and the University of Nottingham.

An exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading industrial
players and the Institute of Engineering Surveying and Space Geodesy
(IESSG) - an internationally-renowned centre for research and postgraduate
teaching.

The research project will focus on the development of a low cost, portable,
real time navigation solution, principally based on the integration of GPS
and inertial sensors. QinetiQ is already looking to fully exploit augmented
GNSS devices in difficult environments and the IESSG has a proven track
record in GNSS-related research, and a history of successful collaboration
with industrial partners.
