I wonder if this will do anything for anyone.

    Here and there surrender
    ------------------------

    Eucalypts. Dry leaves and leaves that will drop and dry. All year they
    grow, drop and dry. Sometimes there are bright parrots but mostly there
    are slick black crows, sharp-edged magpies and fat, sex-obsessed pigeons.
    Today on the dead leaves there's a faded blue bucket with no handle.
    Everything else is green and brown, except the fade-blue sky, which
    doesn't match the bucket. Surrender.

    Spring bloom
    summer green
    autumn orange
    winter surrender
    Painted doorways
    buses and trains
    streets with two names
    and rivers and rains
