Hello everyone

We are trying to get information from any Authority who has closed an urban
static library and replaced the service with Mobile or larger Travelling
Library facilities. Especially if it was successful!

We have a library in a poor position and up a flight of stairs which we
would like to close. We would like to replace their hours with our
Travelling Library - the same 30 hours but in 2 or 3 stopping places around
the area. We feel that this would give an accessible, up-to-date facility
for a larger number of people, including people with disabilities,
pushchairs or just heavy shopping bags, which would cost less to run and be
much more visible.

We would be grateful for information about similar problem libraries and how
you dealt with them.

Thanks.

Viv.
