Subject: Why is Microsoft finally investing in Records Management?

Hi Records Managers,

In the final address to the RMS conference yesterday, Keith Gregory asked about when Microsoft would be developing records management functionality into Windows.  Below is a link to a new ‘blog’ which outlines how they got to the stage of developing RM software – most of which we all know only too well:

It’s interesting that they’ll be incorporating into the 2007 ‘Office’ suite.  But what about non-Microsoft programs, such as Adobe Writer, Firefox or Bob Button’s Ballistics Ordering System you may be running?  I guess it’s far too early to go making any accustions yet…

All the best
