> Current research on German Expressionism is interested in the movement's affinities with other modernist literature and art, and a fresh look at the links between France and German Expressionism can make a significant contribution to this ongoing revision. The conference will explore a variety of issues: the influence of French movements and writers on Expressionists; the problems of the term 'Expressionism' in cross-cultural fields of production; and the affinities between Expressionist literature and art and French culture.
