Looks good to me Wendy, thanks to you and your co-organisers. Thanks also for your continued endeavour to offer a sliding scale of conference fees. It’s much appreciated personally, and I imagine by other interested parties on low to moderate incomes. Cheers, Matt.

Thanks Wendy and others

For what it’s worth here in Nottingham we have a very impressive organisation called Making Waves – they’re a group of people who have experiences of using mental health services who also undertake service evaluations, research and staff training. They’re certainly contributing towards change and sustaining it.

Best wishes with the arrangements.

Hello.

Thanks to all for your input about the conference so far. I'm sorry for the delay, but hopefully we'll be able to pick up where we left off in March.

We've amended the flyer to include more information, but after much thought decided to keep the original theme. We hope that this is not taken as a lack of sensitivity toward people who have been affected by tragedies at sea or resulting from natural disasters involving the sea. We hope that as a metaphor, 'Making Waves' can still communicate the positive potential for change as a result of our radical and challenging interactions within the systems in which we live and work.

After more indecision, and contemplation of the feedback we've had from the list, we recognised that there is not a clear benefit for holding the conference over either two or three days. So we have finally decided that a two day conference would be more manageable for us to organise, and this would also reduce costs for delegates, both in terms of accommodation and conference fees.

Clearly there are many issues yet to resolve and I will continue to keep you all informed and seek feedback as we progress through the planning process!

So I have great pleasure in attaching our final version of the 'Invitation to Contribute'. Please do circulate widely across your networks - community, academic, personal, clinical etc, and please do offer any suggestions for where else it should be distributed.

Best wishes,

Wendy
