--CALL FOR PAPERS--

Children & Society Special Issue
Asylum seeking and refugee children: local and global perspectives

The editors of Children & Society are planning a Special Issue in Spring 2007
on the theme of displacement and asylum. The guest editors for this Special
Issue will include Jason Hart and Jo Boyden. We encourage the submission of
proposals from various disciplinary perspectives that include, but are not
limited to, Anthropology, Sociology, Human Geography, Social Policy and Social
Work, Educational Studies, Social Psychology, and Development Studies. Our aim
is to produce a collection of essays that between them cover a wide age range;
embrace experience in the global South as well as the UK and Europe; address
both policy and practice; and offer critical reflection of a more theoretical
nature.

Deadline for submission of proposals (max 500 words): 31st May 2006
Deadline for final papers (max 6000 words): December 15th 2006

All enquiries and proposals to Jason Hart ([log in to unmask]) and Jo
Boyden ([log in to unmask])

Thank you
