Yup, that's the way it goes, Alison, tho perhaps that particular 
argument is no longer productive in Australia. I suspect another one 
probably is. Or are there no divisions in Australia about what 
poetry's about? Is it really the peaceable kingdom? Does nobody care 
enough to disagree? Do all journals represent all manner of work? You 
know that's not the case in the UK , Ireland and the US.

Actually, I'd be interested in hearing from Australians about the 
politics of the poetry world there. What are the fault lines?
