medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

You shock me. Am I to understand that Miss Mahon, my 1st high
religion/Latin/history (& perhaps geometry) teacher at D'Arcy McGee H.S., a
great teacher and wonderful woman, was not infallible?  She explained that
this passage referred to a gate in Jerusalem that was called the "Needle".
Is this another example of the 70 virgins/70 raisins misuderstanding.?
