The Community Services Group of CILIP have organised a seminar day on Friday 7th April 2006 at the Institute of Education.
'How to Reach the Hard to Reach'
Meeting the Library and Information needs of disadvantaged people
This seminar takes as its theme the task of meeting the information needs of hard to reach communities and individuals. During the morning speakers from both library services and other information providers will share some examples of good practice and discuss the practicalities and difficulties faced.
The workshop sessions in the afternoon will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss the practicalities of publicising our services effectively, what training might be needed to ensure effective outreach and share experiences with others.
The cost for this seminar is £50 (inclusive of VAT) for CSG members or £60 (inclusive of VAT) for non-CSG members.
