We are currently undertaking a retrospective Health Impact Assessment of
a Drought Social Recovery Strategy that has been implemented in four
consecutive 9-month phases over several years, in rural areas of Victoria
(Australia) which have been experiencing prolonged drought. The main goal
of the HIA is to improve future government strategies/policies that aim
to assist social recovery from the effects of prolonged drought.
Does anyone know of any HIA that has been applied to similar strategies
or to any other "natural disaster recovery"
policies/strategies?
