Hi Tony, a version of DAOPHOT is included in the Starlink Collection for OS X. This is available from: http://www.jach.hawaii.edu/~bradc/starlink/install.html (built for OS X 10.3). I'm afraid this includes the whole collection, and as far as I known DAOPHOT has never been tested, just built. So there are no guarantees about its usefulness (but most things do work).
