The Records Management Society Executive Committee has approved a project 
which seeks to map the Local Government Classification Scheme to the 
Integrated Public Service Vocabulary. In addition, the project will also 
link retention schedule (i.e. Retention Guidelines for Local Authorities) 
arrangements to the LGCS and will maintain the LGCS together with 
associated mapping to the IPSV. 

Costed proposals are sought, including a project plan, from interested 
parties. A budget for this work has been set and is less than £7,500 (ex 
VAT) in year one, with subsequent revenue costs for maintenance to be 
provided by tenderers where possible.

Any response shall be in MS Word sent to RMS by email to [log in to unmask] 
by no later than 5pm on 3rd March 2006.  Ownership of all outputs, 
including design, will reside with the Records Management Society.
