Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts seeks to make two permanent
appointments at lecturer level (A to B scales) with effect from 1st
September 2006. One post is for a music scholar specialising in one or
more of the following: contemporary music, popular music, critical
musicology, community music, or education. A further post is offered in
theatre studies where specialisms sought include contemporary British
theatre, modern European playwriting and performance, performance writing,
and performance and technology.

The appointments are to expand the Institute's vibrant interdisciplinary
research culture and teaching focus on the contemporary arts.

Candidates should have a completed PhD, relevant teaching experience and
publications commensurate with their career age.
