I have booked flights to China many times, as I am originally from Hong Kong. I found Omega Travel Limited www.omegatravel.ltd.uk one-third or half the price of the same tickets as the expedia.co.uk, or other ones. They have been around for over 20 years, and many Chinese students use them to book flights back home (that's how I learned about it). Then, you can try going online to Hong Kong China Travel Services, the official one that have all the tours you want (including English speaking guides) to China. There are hundreds of tours to choose from, and if you change sterling to HK dollars, you will find the price very very good (even cheap HK tourists take their tours, so it must be very reasonable).
