 re-skilling for the future
*Also available as an in-house course
NEW
The roles and responsibilities of the Information Professional continue to evolve.  Having specialist qualifications, knowledge and skills is no longer enough to survive and progress in the current job market. Information professionals now face new challenges, which they are unprepared for, such as, restructuring, outsourcing and proving their worth through business cases.  This one-day course will help information professionals deal with change more effectively, making them more productive and employable.  It also covers how to take a team of people through change and maintain motivation and focus.  The second part of the programme focuses on the attitudes and skills which information professionals need to practice and develop in order to survive and thrive.  This programme draws on a case study of an information department, which has survived change and from individuals who have re-skilled for the future. This is a highly practical day, which will allow participants to resolve their individual challenges.

Speaker: Candy Jannetta
Date: 22 Feb
course fee: £295.00 + VAT (£346.63) includes buffet lunch and refreshments.

influencing stakeholders and personal impact
*Also available as an in-house course
NEW
Knowledge and information professionals are working with an ever diverse range of stakeholders and have daily opportunities to either make positive, negative or unintended impacts. It is important for these professionals to plan an approach for working with, and influencing stakeholders, and to be able to communicate the benefits of knowledge and information management activities with impact.

This workshop will offer a number of techniques and approaches to help delegates segment, manage and influence stakeholders. Delegates will also have the opportunity to consider the ways in which they impact on others and the personal brand they communicate.
