Dear friends and colleagues, I would like to draw your attention to a new journal, Magic, Ritual, and Witchcraft, published by the University of Pennsylvania Press, and invite you to consider submitting a manuscript of your recent work. This is a rigorously peer-reviewed scholarly journal, which will draw from a broad spectrum of perspectives, methods, and disciplines (offering the widest possible geographical scope and chronological range, from prehistory to the modern era and from the Old World to the New). In addition to original research, the premiere issues will include book reviews, editorials, and lists of newly published work. Two debut issues will be published in 2006; thereafter the journal will publish quarterly. Magic, Ritual, and Witchcraft has now an active website.
