A practical one-day workshop for all library and information staff who have some experience of supervising others and wish to develop their skills.

BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING
Participants will reflect on the effectiveness of their communication and use practical models of communicating to improve their supervision of others.

By the end of the event participants will have:
·	explored the difference between assertive, aggressive and passive communication
·	looked at using assertive communication techniques to deal with difficult situations
