We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication, numeracy and analytical skills, who has substantial experience in: · Research and information gathering · Knowledge of public sector management and trade union concerns · Analysing information and statistics and writing reports
To support the Union’s current priorities, we are looking to recruit a Research Officer with particular interests and expertise in the following fields:
· Defending public services · Fighting job cuts · Opposing privatisation · Defending members’ working conditions
This is a temporary post in the first instance for six months. Reporting to the DWP Group Secretary, you will work with the DWP Group in Leeds and be:
· Educated to degree level or equivalent or have two years relevant recent research experience · Able to work under pressure to deadlines · Able to work in a team in a shared office situation
