Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Quantitative Earth Sciences

Non-Fixed Term Appointment

Lecturer A (£24,352 - £27,929) to Senior Lecturer (£38,685 - £43,850) p.a.

We wish to appoint a quantitative Earth Scientist in any field. The successful candidate will be early- to mid-career scientist with strong quantitative Earth Science, numerical modelling or geophysical skills. They will have a demonstrable track record of excellence in publication, and some success in obtaining research funding.  They should be enthusiastic teachers committed to teaching excellence. They may already hold a lectureship, but post-doctoral candidates with an excellent research record are also encouraged to apply.

You will be an enthusiastic teacher committed to teaching excellence and able to complement existing research interests in the Department of Earth Sciences.

Fractured Reservoirs 3D Digital Atlas ("FR3DA")

2 years, Fixed Term

£20,044 - £22,289 per annum

We are looking for an innovative, highly-motivated and numerate individual, who is willing work with a wide range of Industrial and Research Partners, including DTI, Shell and BG Group. Candidates should be early career scientists with a PhD in a relevant area of research, have a promising publication record in top peer reviewed Earth Science journals. They should show potential towards an international research reputation. In addition, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
