Minerals, Magmas and Megastructures

13-15th September, 2006

The Fermor Flagship Meeting of the Geological Society

Flett Lecture Theatre of the Natural History Museum, London

This international meeting - which is co-organized by the Mineral
Deposits Studies, Tectonic Studies, Volcanic and Magmatic Studies and
Geochemistry Groups of the Geological Society, together with the Applied
Mineralogy Group of the Mineralogical Society - will focus on
megastructures, their control on magmatic activity at all levels of the
Earth, and on the formation of mineral deposits globally. This breadth
reflects the eclectic philosophy of Sir Lewis Fermor. The structure and
high quality keynote lectures will encourage significant
cross-fertilization of ideas between the specialist groups.

Dealine for submission of abstracts 31st March, 2006.
