HTAi 2006 – 3rd Annual Meeting of Health Technology Assessment International, Adelaide, South Australia www.htai.org/australia-2006/call.asp Managing health technological innovation and diffusion is one of the major issues affecting healthcare systems worldwide. Dealing with the resultant increasing demand for new health interventions will be the highlight of the annual HTAi meeting, which will bring clinicians, policy makers, funders and industry involved in health systems together with HTA researchers. The outline of the scientific program is in place, with a world-renowned list of plenary speakers, and sessions to suit all fields of interest within HTA. The program will include plenary, parallel panel, oral and poster presentations on topics including health policy, clinical applications and HTA relationships with industry. Other events will include the first formal meeting of HTAi with the Asia Pacific Health Technology Association, and pre-conference workshops Exciting events showcasing a cross-section of Australian gastronomy, culture and fauna are also planned for the welcome reception, opening ceremony and gala dinner. DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FEBRUARY 13, 2006 Abstract submission is via online submission (http://www.htai.org/australia-2006/call.asp). Oral and poster presentations will cover a large range of topics and interests, bringing together clinicians, researchers and those involved in healthcare administration. We strongly encourage submission of abstracts in all fields of HTA, as the program is looking extremely strong and diverse.
