medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

The Cath En on line at New Advent, while technically the 1917 edition, was 
not just plopped on the 'net without revisions and a going-over by the 
people working on the articles. That's not to say the People in Charge were 
perfect. However, in the matter of who was pope when, I think even 19th-c. 
types knew their stuff.
