While studying neolithic bone material from a Romanian site, we came across a phalanx (1) of Bos taurus with a perforation in the middle. It was suggested that this was not primarily done to extract the marrow but to use it as a musical instrument or for 'singing'. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Greetings, Naomi Huisman
