This is a reminder that bookings are open for the "Initiatives & Innovation: Managing Disruptive Technologies" Workshop which will be held at the University of Warwick on 24 February 2006. This workshop, which is being organised by UKOLN, UCISA and CETIS, will seek to address the challenges being faced by institutions in exploiting new technologies, including technologies which are sometimes referred to as Web 2.0, together with the move to use of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach to development which underpins the JISC development activities. The workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to hear about how such technologies are being used within institutions and the challenges such approaches may place on existing developmental approaches. The workshop will seek to development a framework which will aim to ensure that potentially disruptive technologies can successfully be absorbed into production services.
